The volcanic fissure, Crack-in-the-Ground, near Christmas Valley, Oregon, produced many bizarre rock formations.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The original title is "Intra-Terrestrial" due to this formation's resemblance to a collapsed E. T. Crack-in-the-Ground is a volcanic fissure about 2 miles long and up to 70 feet deep and very easy to visit. It is filled with provocative rock formations. Photo by Joel Simpson.
