Summary[edit]

Description In comparison, there was no spray on the American side of the Niagara Falls at any time. This is due to the reduced flow of water on that side. As I mentioned earlier, due to water erosion, the course of the Niagara River split at some time during its existence. One portion continued onward to form the Horseshoe falls on the Canadian side, while the newly formed fork, with much reduced flow, formed the American side of the Niagara Falls which you see right here. The single isolated stream of the fall you see in the distance is the Bridal Veil Falls. We are now looking across from Canada into the USA. (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Nov. 2015)
