Summary[edit]

Description

English: Immaculate Conception, by MATEO CEREZO (1637-1666).

Oil on canvas, 57.2 x 42.5 cm, private collection. Signed on the back: "Mº Zº". The Comendadoras de Santiago and the Venerable Orden Tercera de Madrid preserve two works of similar composition, but larger dimensions. This could be a model for one of the previous.

The work was auctioned in Balclis (Barcelona) on October 9, 2019 (lot 361).
