Deutsch: Parkanlage Innerer Grüngürtel:
Der "Innere Grüngürtel" ist eine Parkanlage im Zentrum Kölns, die sich auf ca. 200m Breite über eine Länge von ca. 7km bogenförmig in nord-südliche Ausrichtung erstreckt. Im Norden reicht der Grüngürtel bis an das Rheinufer (nahe Zoobrücke) im Süden bis an die Luxemburgerstrasse. Stadteinwärts (östlich) wird die schlauchartige Parkfläche durch eine Bahnlinie, stadtauswärts (westlich) durch die Innere Kanalstrasse (Universitätsstrasse) begrenzt. Im Verlauf werden die Grünflächen immer wieder von Hauptverkehrsadern in ost-westliche Richtung durchschnitten. Der Bebauungsplan stammt von Fritz Schumacher hervorgegangen aus einem städtebaulichen Wettbewerb (1919) . Grundidee war: "die Schaffung eines durchgängigen Grüngürtels, bestehend aus einer Abfolge architektonisch gestalteter und unterschiedlich dimensionierter Grünräume." Ein Zugang von der Inneren Kanalstrasse aus befindet sich auf Höhe des Colonius, einem der Wahrzeichen von Ehrenfeld.This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
