Good evening Mr Soler,

I’m a reporter for the Romanian daily newspaper Adevarul and I’m documenting a story about Angela Craciun, her castle, her art projects, dreams and ideas. And I’m writing to you because I need a little help to „draw” her portrait. I have a couple of questions for you, and I hope you’ll find a little time in your schedule to answer them. 1.When and where did you meet Angela and what was your very first impression of her? 2.When and why you decided to work together? What about Angela convinced you that the two of you will make a good team? 3.Is the documentary about the dictators’ wives your first project together? 4.How does your professional relationship work? You talk all the time, you exchange ideas? How is she contributing to this project, as a producer? 5.Will you work together in other artistic projects also? 6.Will her castle be involved in any of your projects? 7.Have you ever visited the castle? And if so, what did you think of it? Does the castle resemble Angela?

1. When and where did you meet Angela and what was your very first impression of her? I met Angela first through a friend, at place des Vosges in Paris . This is where Victor Hugo’s house is still open to the public and where the marquise de Sévigné was born. That was a sign! Angela has definitely that wit, vividness and ultra femininity that characterized the Marquise of Sevigny. On the other hand if Victor Hugo embodies the Romantic movement in France , my first impression of Angela was that she is very much a Romantic Romanian in France !

2. When and why you decided to work together? What about Angela convinced you that the two of you will make a good team? We discussed right away a possible collaboration. We both share the same desire to create exciting projects. Angela has no limits in her creativity and that was definitely extremely appealing to me. 3. Is the documentary about the dictators’ wives your first project together? I think our first project was to become friends and appreciate the exchange of ideas and creativity. Being able to share content on artistic projects with Angela is very rewarding.

4. How does your professional relationship work? You talk all the time, you exchange ideas? How is she contributing to this project, as a producer? We both travel a lot. We communicate a lot by email. The project on those first ladies is at the initial stage. It is indeed a long process. We are currently working on officializing her form of collaboration.

5. Will you work together in other artistic projects also? We are starting this collaboration and we both hope we can contribute to each other projects. Angela is very much dedicated to projects with a strong cultural content. I hope I can contribute to her ambitious projects.

6. Will her castle be involved in any of your projects? This chateau means a lot for me; That was André Malraux’ former residence. Malraux is France ’s icon for culture. With Angela’s contribution, this chateau has the potential for becoming an international platform dedicated to culture and heritage. 7. Have you ever visited the castle? And if so, what did you think of it? Does the castle resemble Angela?

I went to the château several months ago. You feel in another world. It is such a romantic place and in that sense the place is perfect for Angela.
