Civis House. Former (since 1969) 1st District Council building. Built to the HQ of the Commerce and Industry Chamber in 1911 (or 1912) Arch. Gábor Bethlen. Building decorations: Globe holding women (1911 /1912/ aluminum and bronze statue), Frieze (1911 /1912/ in its middle is Hungaria sitting on a throne and holding a Mercury stick; around Hungaria farmers, merchants, craftsmen; a group of elderly men and women raising pitchers on right; men bringing croups and driving animals on left); Trade (female) and Industry (male figure) allegorical building decoration sculptures are above entry. On the facade a memorial related to the February 23, 1914 assassination against the Greek Catholic Bishop Miklósy (gypsum relief standing women and marbe plaque, installed in 1932 or 1934, planned by Architect József Csanak, About the assassination: bishop's coworkers died, the bishop survived, The perpetrator was a a Russian-born colonel-teacher from the Military College of Bucharest), INSIDE art: Motherhood (installed in 1970, Márton Váró works, white marble statue), Siblings/Brethren by Rigas Hondromatidis (1993 works, relocated in 1996), in the wall of the marrieage hall is the 'Picture of life' a tapestry by Hédi Tarján (textile artist) and Gizella Solti (textile artist) around 1970 works. - 2-4 Iparkamara Street (Petőfi Square corner), Inner City, Debrecen, Hajdú-Bihar County, Hungary.
