Description
English: Wall tiles decorated with the Ottoman cintamani motif, Iznik 17th century. The combination of the three circles with the wavy lines recalling the skin of a tiger is an emblematic motif connected to the Ottoman dynasty and the origins of the Turkish tribes. Benaki Museum of Islamic Art.
