Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen did not attempt to identify this vessel, but the identification flags "NJMF" would have told them, that this was the Kjøbenhavn (Copenhagen). The Kjøbenhavn was built in 1872 by John Scott & Sons of Inverkeithing (Yard no. 47) for Dampskibsselskabet Kjöbenhavn. The ship was active until December 1886, when it broke the propeller shaft, leaked and was abandoned in the North Sea. Sources: clydeships.co.uk & jmarcussen.dk (in Danish).
