Description
English: Herredshuset ('the town hall' or 'the municipal building') in Jessheim, Ullensaker municipality, Norway. Herredshuset is a red-painted wooden building opened 1901 as a municipal building. Outside the Herredshuset is a five-meter-high monumental stone erected on May 17, 1914, "in memory of the soldiers from Ullensaker in the War of 1814 – Lier and Matran" and a World War II memorial plaque "in memory of those from Ullensaker who fell in the fight for Norway's freedom 1940-1945."
Norsk bokmål: Herredshuset ved Gotaasalleen på Jessheim i Ullensaker kommune ble innviet i 1901, med kommunelokaler, festsal og annet.
  • På en brolagt plass rett utefor Herredshuset på Jessheim er en rundt fem meter høy bauta (minnestein, minnestøtte) på dobbelt sokkel reist 17. mai 1914 «til Minde om Soldatene fra Ullensaker i Krigen 1814 – Lier og Matran» (se slaget ved Matrand.) Der er også enminneplate med inskripsjoner «Til minne om de fra Ullensaker som falt i kampen for Norges frihet 1940-1945»
