Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Taken around 1919/1920, this portrait of acrobatic comedian, Jack Kammerer (later known as Jack Cameron), shows his versatility. It was taken during a critical time in his career--his longtime relationship with professional and romantic partner, Edna Howland, was ending. He was pursuing solo roles. The photograph was taken by Bert's Studio at 127 W. 12th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City was an important vaudeville hub. Bert's Studio photographed many vaudeville artists, both famous and obscure.
