Français : Jacques-Auguste Regnier, Vue de l'église Saint Pierre de Montmartre et du télégraphe optique de Chappe, HST, vers 1820. Collection particulière. Regnier évoqua dans sa peinture une vision romantique du vieux Paris. Dans cette toile il représente le télégraphe optique de Chappe, juché sur le clocher de Saint Pierre de Montmartre, installé à la fin du 18e siècle pour equiper la ligne qui partait en direction du nord de l'Europe.
