Description

German WW2 era Tank Destroyer. Official designation:- Sd.Kfz.173 Ausf.G2 Built 1944 to 1945. Total production:- 415. Main armament:- 88mm Pak 43/3 L/71. A rare beast, this late example was recovered from Pirbright ranges and initially went to Darmstadt in Germany before returning to the UK. Completely restored, it is now in full running order and is operated by the Weald Foundation. She is seen ‘in action’ in the Kuwait Arena during TankFest 2019. ‘The Tank Museum’, Bovington Camp, Dorset, UK.
