Description |
English: Jehanne I of Naples, painting exhibited in 1896 in the Paris' Salon des Artistes français (Salon of French Artists).
According to a legend, Queen Joan I of Naples strangled herself her first husband Andrew of Hungary with a gold cord. In this painting, Joan I of Naples is holding the gold cord. |
