Description
Català: Joc de xiquets, Llorenç Casanova, museu de Belles Arts Gravina d'Alacant. Mitjans del segle XIX, oli sobre tela, 65 x 39,5 cm, col·lecció de la diputació d'Alacant. En el moment que s'exhaureix l'ajuda de la diputació, Casanova decideix allargar la seua estada a Itàlia. Aquest quadre no està datat ni se sap el lloc on el va pintar, però podria tractar-se d'una obra pintada a Roma pel vestuari que exhibeixen els nens i per estar en línia del quadre Zambra gitana. Aquesta escena divertida, les figures infantils estan realitzades amb traços de pinzell desenfadats que emfatitzen el domini del color del pintor. En la paleta de color emprada predominen els tons terrosos, destacant els verds, rojos i el blanc, que fa que siga una de les seues obres més lluminoses.
