Description
English: Portrait of "General José Miguel Barceló" (1847-1878) published in the "Historia contemporánea de Venezuela" 1909 book by Francisco González Guinán. José Miguel Barceló was a 19th century militaryman (General de division) and politician (President of the Chamber of Deputies) from Venezuala who was killed in 1878 during a duel with General Eduardo Scanlan (son of French consul H. B. Scanlan). General José Miguel Barceló's corpse was transfered to the Panteón Nacional de Venezuela at Caracas on May 14, 1878.
