Deutsch: Das abstrakte Ölgemälde «Krieg und Frieden – und oben die Hoffnung» des Schweizer Künstlers Josef Ebnöther malte dieser in seinem Spätwerk aus Anlass der russischen Kriegshandlungen in der Ukraine im Jahr 2022. Er verarbeitete damit seine aufgewühlten Gefühle über diesen Krieg.
Im Bild sind Kreuze von Gräbern zu erkennen (Vergleiche dazu seine Skulptur eines schiefen Kreuzes auf dem Friedhof von Lüchingen, Schweiz) sowie vermutlich von roten Blutstreifen. Außerdem könnte man vermuten, dass links in der oberen Hälfte des Bildes ein Flugzeug seine Bomben abwirft und zentral eine Drohne über dem Geschehen fliegt. Rechts oben im Bild ist ein wolkenartiges Gebilde oder sind Zeichen zu erkennen, die auf anderen Bildern des Künstlers ebenfalls häufig anzutreffen sind. Dies könnte seine Chiffre für Hoffnung sein, wie der Titel dieses Bildes suggeriert. English: Swiss artist Josef Ebnöther painted this abstract oil painting "War and Peace - and hope above" on the occasion of the Russian war in Ukraine in the year 2022, with which he expressed his churned emotions about this war. This painting is part of his late work. In the painting there are seen crosses of graves (Compare his sculpture of a lopsided cross in the cemetery of Lüchingen, Switzerland) as well as presumed red blood streaks. In addition, one could assume that on the left in the upper half of the painting an airplane is dropping its bombs and centrally a drone is flying above the action. In the upper right of the painting, a cloud-like structure or signs can be seen, which are also common in other paintings by the artist. This could be his code for hope, as the title of this painting suggests. |
