Summary[edit]

Description
English: On July 7, 2023, three-year-old Josefina Catherine Cunningham, an African American girl, was found dead with bluespots and foaming at the mouth. Josefina was murdered and raped by a white man named Robert J. Fisher in Rensselaer, New York. In the photo is Josefina Catherine Cunnigham, the three-year-old little girl who was murdered. This is the last portrait taken of Josefina before she died. This is important because her story needs to be heard. This relates to black history because Josefina Cunningham was an African American, and it was homicidal violence. Her story echoes the tragic tale of Emmett Till, the black boy who was brutally killed in Mississippi in the 1950s.
