English: Upon reporting to the Johnson Space Center (JSC) to begin two years of preparation to become a full fledged member of the Canadian Space Agency's astronaut corps, astronaut candidate David Saint Jacques speaks to a crowd on hand for a welcoming ceremony at the Houston space facility. The CSA candidates and two from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency along with nine from NASA were introduced and spoke briefly at the ceremony before departing for the next portion of their agenda, a field trip to the state of Maine, for land survival training.
