English: Photos of Nazi activists and members of the SA (Sturmabteilung), the paramilitary 'brownshirts' of the Nazi Party, demonstrating and protesting in Berlin during the nation-wide anti-Semitic boycott and propaganda campaign harassing Jewish businesses on Saturday April 1, 1933.

The pictures depicts storm troopers, wearing paramilitary uniforms, standing in front of the closed entrance to the Tietz departement store, with campaign signboards/placards/posters with Anti-Jewish slogans printed in Fraktur typeface: Deutsche! Wehrt Euch! Kauft nicht bei Juden! (Germans! Protect yourselves! Don't buy from Jews!' ) and Deutsche, verteidigt Euch gegen die jüdische Greuelpropaganda, kauft nur bei Deutschen! Germans defend yourselves against Jewish atrocity propganda; buy only at German shops!

The boycott began on April 1, 1933, as a claimed reaction to the international anti-Nazi boycott. Though largely unsuccessful, it aimed to undermine Jewish businesses and marked the start of escalating Nazi actions against Jews, including harassment, arrests, forced transfers of ownership, and ultimately, murder in the Holocaust.
