Description
Deutsch: Der Kärntna Låxn ist eine Seeforelle, die sich durch einen silbrigen Körper mit x-förmigen schwarzen Punkten auszeichnet. Sie ist ein großwüchsiger Vertreter der Lachsartigen (Salmonidae). Früher war sie der Hauptfisch einiger Kärntner Seen. In der Laichzeit wanderten die Fische die einmündenden Flüsse hinauf und wurden dort zu hunderten gefangen. Bereits im 14 Jahrhundert wurde dieser Fisch aus Oberkärnten an den Kaiserlichen Hof nach Wien geliefert, wo rege Nachfrage nach dieser Spezialität herrschte. Die GenussRegion Kärntna Låxn umfasst die Gemeinden Feld am See, Malta und Sirnitz. Ein weitgestreutes Gebiet, das jedoch eine wichtige Grundlage für das Heranwachsen hat: Kristallklares Wasser, wie am Foto im Hintergrund mit dem Brennsee in der Gemeinde Feld am See, Kärnten, Österreich, Europäische Union.
