Deutsch: Die König-Ludwig-Eiche (auch Königseiche, Tausendjährige Eiche, bis Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts Stolze Eiche) ist ein Naturdenkmal im Staatsbad Brückenau im Landkreis Bad Kissingen in Bayern. Sie ist nach unterschiedlichen Schätzungen 360 bis 700 Jahre alt. Der Umfang des Stammes beträgt etwa sieben Meter. Sie hat ihren Namen von König Ludwig I., dessen Lieblingseiche sie bei seinen zahlreichen Kuraufenthalten im Staatsbad Brückenau war. Die Eiche wurde seit 1780 oft beschrieben und abgebildet. Zahlreiche Adelige aus dem Inland und Monarchen aus dem Ausland, die zur Kur in Brückenau weilten, besuchten die Eiche
English: The König-Ludwig-Eiche (also King's Oak , Thousand Year Oak , until the middle of the 19th century Proud Oak) is a natural monument in the Staatsbad Brückenau in the Bad Kissingen district in Bavaria. According to various estimates, it is 360 to 700 years old. The circumference of the trunk is about seven meters. It takes its name from King Ludwig I., Whose favorite oak it was during his numerous spa stays at the Staatsbad Brückenau. The oak has been described and illustrated many times since 1780. |
