'Horses' and 'kissing Chicks' by Mihály Schéner (1987 colorful concrete sculpture, restored by sculptor Sándor Szőke in 2023; note before restoration 'the three chicks' sculpture was circa 30m away) in a Park between Plattenbau residential buildings. Plaque at the 'toy' sculptures: ~Mihály Schéner (1923 – 2009) Kossuth and Munkácsy Prize-winning painter, graphic artist, sculptor, ceramist and puppet designer. Honorary citizen of Békéscsaba. The creator of the Fairy Tale House. He was one of the most prominent and versatile artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. He professed freedom as an artist and art. He drew his rich treasure of motifs from mythology, the Bible, legends, the products of Hungarian handicrafts, but often from everyday life. -He was always close to the play, the world of children. / In 1982, the city of Békéscsaba ordered ten large-scale playground sculptures from Mihály Schéner. The 'Shepherd's Structures', 'Young girl' 'Tulip' and 'Concrete Horses' sculptures were completed six years later.
