The exhibit plaques state the following:

"Kamapua'a"
"Kamapua'a took many forms. His Kinolau (physical form) was part man and part pig. He represented Lono, who was the god of agriculture.
"The original of this replica was pre-missionary and was found in a cave in up-country Maui."



"Temple Image. "
"Presumably the demi-god Kamapaua'a. This is the only image found on Maui and is unique in style."
