Description
English: Karelians. The costume of the oral poet. The beginning of the XX century. Arkhangelsk province, Kem uyezd. Ukhta parish, Beginning of the XX century. Kozichendashauvat were used in the spell of magic, witchcraft practices, during the wedding rituals , Karelian oral poets used them too. Kozichendashauvat were distributed on the territory of Northern Karelia. Made from juniper trunks with growths interpreted as the trunk of fertility
Русский: Карелы. Костюм рунопевца и козичендашауват - ритуальные посохи. Начало ХХ века. Архангельская губерния, Кемский уезд. Ухтинская волость, Нач. ХХ века. Козичендашауват использовались в заклинательной магии, колдовских практиках, во время свадебных обрядов ,в том числе и рунопевцами. Были распространены на территории Северной Карелии. Сделаны из можжевеловых стволов с наростами, интерпретировавшимися как ствол плодородия
