The soldiers were dragoons. Reistrup lived in the town of Næstved for many years, and he also illustrated a book about the Danish Fourth Dragoon Regiment, which was garrisoned in Næstved. The regiment was disbanded in 1923. The beer Nykøbing Øl was made by Nykøbing Falster Bryghus.
