Summary[edit]
DescriptionKarstquelle Wasserhoehle-Forellenloch Weissenstein Schwaebische Alb.jpg |
English: The “Forellenloch” is a water cave at a valley in “Weißenstein” (Lauterstein), a subsection of the eastern Swabian Alb called „Albuch“. Until 1974 Weißenstein was a small municipal of its own, with all rights of a medieval town (“Stadtrechte” since 1384). The position of the castle was strategically chosen to always protect the main medivial water supply for the sole use by the count, his court and his former brewery. For this purpose the cave spring had a tunnel waterway. |
