Kashmiri Sufi Shrine

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Image of a local Kashmiri Sufi Shrine situated at a small village of Kashmir. Also called as Astaan (استان). Astaan or Shrines are often built around the burial of a certain Sufi Saint, as a homage from the locality for guiding them on the right path. They are many of these lesser known shrines which are built in different towns or villages of Kashmir with the similar design and colour in respect of their respective Saint or 'Pir'.
