Description
English: The Broken Cross is one of the five high crosses in Kells, County Meath, Ireland. It may have been the tallest high cross ever. It may have been broken by Oliver Cromwell's army, which used the church as stables.
Here is the middle of the eastern face.
Français : La Croix brisée est l’une des cinq hautes croix de Kells, ville irlandaise du comté de Meath. Elle a peut-être été la plus imposante haute croix. Elle aurait été brisée par les armées d’Oliver Cromwell, qui stationnaient leurs chevaux dans l’ancienne église.
