Description |
English: Baptismal font in the monastery church Kemnade, Bodenwerder-Kemnade (Lower Saxony) In 1964, the baptismal font from St. Johannis Chapel in Tuchtfeld was transferred to the monastery church. It probably comes from Romanesque times, his exact age and his original origin are unknown. The baptismal font shows reliefs like a tree symbolizing paradise, as well as a wheel that can be interpreted as a cherub cherishing paradise. |
