| Description |
English: Center square with Rathaus (town hall) of the former Free Imperial City of Kempten. One of the the towers of the church of Kempten abbey, a former Imperial Abbey, is visible in the top right corner.
City and abbey were independent from each other and cohabitation was sometime tense, particularly after Kempten became Lutheran. Postcard issued circa 1900-1910. |
