Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Kenfig Burrows Now encompassed by the Kenfig Nature Reserve, this extensive system of sand dunes extends for over a mile inland in places. Near here, the original village of Kenfig once stood but was destroyed around 1439 when a series of huge storms coupled by a rise in the sea level/tides caused the dune system to engulf the village. All that remains now is the crumbling upper section of the castle which once stood there and some outlines in the ground where the castle and houses used to stand. |
