| Description | Harry Truman, President from 1945 to 1953, used this house on the Navy base in Key West as a winter vacation headquarters many times. It was known as the "Little White House." President Eisenhower and President Kennedy also used this place. This house was built around 1890 as part of the Navy base, and was the Commandant's house at one time. Most of the Navy base has been sold, and private homes have been built in the area. |
