Այստեղ՝ Սուրբ Հեդվեգի տաճարում,
Գերմանա-հայկական ընկերակցության
ջանքերով 1919 թվականի մայիսի 14-ին
անցկացվեց զոհերի հիշատակին
նվիրված առաջին պատարագը
Գերմանիայում, որին, Վայմարյան
Հանրապետության պաշտոնական
ներկայացուցիչների հետ մեկտեղ,
մասնակցեցին նաև օտարերկրյա
դիվանագետները։
Der Kreuzstein (armenisch Chatschkar)
wurde in Erinnerung an die unschuldigen
Opfer des Völkermordes an den Armeniern
während des Ersten Weltkrieges im Osmanischen
Reich aufgestellt.
Hier in der St.-Hedwigs-Kathedrale ließ am
14. Mai 1919 die Deutsch-Armenische Gesellschaft
den ersten Gedenkgottesdienst
in Deutschland für die Opfer abhalten.
Daran nahmen neben offiziellen Vertretern
der Weimarer Republik auch ausländische
Diplomaten teil.
This Cross-stone ('Khachkar' in Armenian)
was errected in memory of the innocent
victims of the Armenian genocide during
World War I in the Ottoman Empire.
It was here in St.-Hedwig's Cathedral that
the first Commemoration Service in
Germany in honour of the victims was held
at the request of the German-Armenian
Society on May 14, 1919. Participants included
Weimar Republic officials as well as foreign
diplomats.
