KING COBRA:


Ophiophagus hannah.


King cobra is the world's longest venomous snake .It is found in forests from India-though Southreast Asia.The average lenght is 3-4 m. Diet consists primarly of the other snakes including other Rat snakes ,small pythons.A female snake usually deposits 20-40 eggs into the mound which acts as an incubator .The venom of the King Cobra was consists primarily of the Neuro toxins ,but it also contains cardiotoxic and some other compounds .The average life span of the king cobra is about 20 years.
