| Description |
English: Kirlish Castle near Drumquin. Founded by Sir John Davis, about 1617, He built castles at Kerlis and at Gavetagh, on the Derg, and between the two castles constructed an excellent road, seven miles in a straight line over mountains and bogs, which in several places still remains perfect. |
