Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg, Pennsylvania April 4, 1963 Mr. John Ben Shepperd, President Texas State Historical Survey Committee 112 East 18th Street Austin, Texas Dear Mr. Shepperd: Your letter of April 1 arrived just after we had mailed a letter to Mr. George Hill discussing the placement of the proposed Texas memorial. A copy of that letter is enclosed. Please write again if you have questions which are not answered. We will be glad to help in every way to hasten the necessary arrangements and approvals. Probably the most useful step for you is to get the proposed inscription into the mail to us as soon as possible. It is good to hear from you. Please be assured that you can count on our cooperation. Sincerely yours, Kittridge A. Wing Superintendent Enclosure
