Object history
Notes Venus von Pigalle 1750—1904 im Französischen Rondell in Sanssouci aufgestellt, wurde 1904 zum Schutz des Originals durch eine Marmorkopie ersetzt und ist seitdem im Bode-Museum in Berlin, ihr Pendant Merkur kam schon rund 50 Jahre früher in die königlichen Museen. Alle anderen Skulpturen blieben weiter in Sanssouci. Erst in den Jahren 1998-2011 wurden nach und nach alle 12 Bildwerke des Französischen Rondells ersetzt.
