Summary[edit]

Description
English: Krebs cycle. Oxidation of succinyl-CoA (C4) to succinate (C4), involving the elimination of CoA (green) and the formation of GTP (red) from GDP and inorganic phosphate (Pi). The oxygen atom (red) replacing CoA-S (green) stems from the Pi that's later being attached to GDP, forming GTP (see Succinyl_coenzyme_A_synthetase). The equation shown above assumes one-fold protonation of GDP and Pi.
