Deutsch: Ölberg an der Westseite des Melchior-Otto-Platzes in Kronach. Das kapellenartige Gewölbe mit einer 1714 vom Bamberger Bildhauer Johann Nikolaus Rösch geschaffenen Darstellung der Ölberg-Szene befand sich ursprünglich an der Nordseite des Langhauses der benachbarten Stadtpfarrkirche St. Johannes der Täufer und wurde 1869 um etwa 20 Meter an den heutigen Standort versetzt. Die beiden Statuen an den Seiten, der unter dem Kreuz gefallene Christus und die Jungfrau Maria, gehörten ursprünglich nicht zum Ölberg; sie flankierten den Eingang des Kirchhofes, der St. Johannes früher umgab. Das Bild zeigt das Bauwerk vor einer Mitte 2012 durchgeführten Restauration. |
