[edit]DescriptionL.E Eithne docked at Horgans Quay Cork - geograph.org.uk - 1152496.jpg |
English: L.E Eithne docked at Horgans Quay Cork The moon looks down on Irish Naval ship L.E Eithne in early Spring 2009.
Eithne is currently the flagship of the Irish Naval Service. Eithne was the last ship to have been built in the Republic of Ireland, constructed at Verlome Dockyard at Rushbrook, Cork and completed in 1984. Shipbuilding operations ceased at the yard in 1984, and the yard went into receivership. It's always nice to see Eithne visiting my city. |
