Italiano: L'affresco, raffigurante "La Madonna in trono con Bambino", storicamente conosciuta come "La Vergine di San Baudolino", probabilmente proviene dall'antica chiesa di San Baudolino oppure dalla chiesa di Santo Stefano in Bergoglio e demolita, insieme a tutto il borgo, nel 1750 per lasciare posto alla Cittadella militare di Alessandria.

Italiano: L'affresco, dipinto nel XV secolo, fu staccato "a massello" e collocato successivamente in una nicchia nella nuova chiesa di Santo Stefano consacrata nel 1773: sulle pareti laterali, alla fine dell'800, sono stati dipinti i santi Baudolino a destra e Stefano a sinistra, rispettivamente partono di Alessandria e titolare dell'omonima chiesa. L'opera è anche nota come la "Madonna del Parto" perché, nel tempo, la devozione popolare vide nella Vergine Maria la protettrice delle donne in attesa di un bambino.
