Summary[edit]

Autor: José Belloni (Uruguay, 1882-1965).

Fecha de inauguración: 22 de febrero de 1952.

Ubicación: Barrio Prado (Montevideo), en la intersección de Avda. Agraciada, Delmira Agustini y Lucas Obes. Inicialmente estaba ubicada en la intersección de la Avda. Agraciada y Cno. Castro. Fue trasladada a su actual ubicación el 20 de noviembre de 1981.

Material empleado: Bronce.

Material del basamento: Bronce y granito gris.

Descripción: La diligencia, empantanada; el cochero de pie en el pescante, con las riendas en la mano izquierda, arrea con el látigo que tiene en la derecha, a los cinco caballos que tiran del vehículo. También, sobre el pescante, una mujer sentada con un niño en el regazo. Sobre la baca el equipaje cubierto. Delante del grupo otro jinete, con el lazo en la mano derecha, ayuda a la diligencia a salir del difícil trance.
