English: Page from La Plante et ses applications ornementales sous la direction de M. Eugène Grasset (English: 'The Plant and Its Ornamental Applications under the Direction of Mr. Eugène Grasset'), a 1896 book by Eugène Grasset that was influential on art nouveau.
  • This 78-page French-language publication from 1896 highlights ornamental designs inspired by the plant kingdom, under the supervision of Mr. Eugène Grasset. It comprises 72 color plates showcasing diverse plant motifs. Each of the 24 depicted plant species includes a botanical illustration, followed by two ornamental interpretations. The book was a collaborative effort of Grasset's students, which included notable illustrators such as Maurice Pillard Verneuil, Juliette Milesi, Emma Hervegh, and others.
  • Author: Eugène-Samuel Grasset (1845-1917), a Swiss decorative artist who worked in Paris, France in a variety of creative design fields during the Belle Époque. He is considered a pioneer in Art Nouveau design.
