| Description |
Der über 518km² große und über 490m tiefe Lake Tahoe liegt in 1900 m Höhe in einem alpinen Becken an der Grenze zwischen Kalifornien & Nevada. Baden im Sommer und Skifahren im Winter machen den See zu einem der attraktivsten Seen der USA. In Deutschland ist der See eher durch die Western-Serie "Bonanza" bekannt, die hier zum Teil gedreht wurde. Der im Norden des Sees liegende Ski-Ort Squaw Valley wurde bei uns durch die Winter-Olympiade im Feb. 1960 bekannt. Das Bild zeigt eine öffentliche Badebucht im Nordosten des Sees. Anfahrt: Von San Francisco (Entfernung ca. 320 km) über Sacramento ( Interstate 80) nach Truckee. Fotografiert mit Canon EOS 5, 70-200mm (Stellung 70mm), Stativ, 1/60 Belichtung.
