| Description |
English: Landscape of fields and lane, east of Blakeshall, Worcestershire The lane leads to Caunsall and Cookley.
The fields had been ploughed and (I presume) sown. It had been a very cold long winter, with hard night frosts until a day or so before this photograph was taken. Warmer wetter weather for the following few days will have encouraged germination, probably of a cereal crop. The reddish soil colour is the result of the local Bunter Sandstone geology. |
