English: Langemark-Poelkapelle, Belgium: access road to Langemark German War Cemetery. The cylinders in the image are replicas of the chlorine gas cylinders used by the Germans on 22 April 1915 in the first large-scale gas attack of World War One, and were installed by the municipality of Langemark-Poelkapelle as part of memorial events in 2015. |
