Summary[edit]
DescriptionLaubholzrenaturierung.jpg |
English: Native forest regrowth of European beeches (fagus sylvatica) in an outgrown pine plantation (pinus nigra) in Central Germany. Native renaturation is essential for the climate stability of forests, making them less volatile to storm, parasite and fire incidents, at the price of slightly slower wood harvesting profits. It requires climate adaption of machinery logistics, forest management procedures and forestry staff training, with the gain of long-term increase of both ecological and economic value of forests concerned.
