Title
Le style de 1900
Description
Room interior at the 1900 Paris World Fair. Charles Plumet and Tony Selmersheim designed this dining room. Plumet (1861-1928) was a French architect who often used art nouveau style for his interiors; Selmersheim (1871-1971) was also an architect and furniture designer, and had worked with Plumet on many projects since the late 1890's. He is famous for having designed a bookcase that could be assembled mechanically in 1895, which was quite an innovation at the time.
