Description
English: Escultura de bulto redondo en una hornacina del último piso del antiguo parador de San Rafael representando a un león, en Málaga, España. Bajo la figura del león aparece escrito el año 1847. Se creía que era de piedra o terracota, pero tras unas obras de rehabilitación del edificio para convertirlo en sede de Turismo Andaluz se pudo comprobar que está tallado en madera recubierta de una fina capa de plomo. Se erige en emblema del promotor del inmueble, Francisco de León Bendicho, que fue gobernador civil de la provincia entre febrero y noviembre de 1834, haciendo las veces de un original escudo familiar.[1]
