Description
Español: Ilustración esquemática de la fusión de dos vesículas lipídicas. Se muestran los estados de fusión completa y hemifusión. En el estado hemifundido, sólo se fusiona la valva externa de las bicapas lipídicas. En la fusión completa, ambas valvas se fusionan y el contenido acuoso interno se mezcla.
English: Schematic illustration of two lipid vesicles fusing. Both the fully fused and the hemifused states are shown. In the hemifused state only the outer leaflet of the lipid bilayers fuse. In full fusion both leaflets fuse and internal aqueous contents mix.
